Vacancy – Commercial Solicitor

We are seeking a senior Solicitor to work in our busy and expanding Commercial department in our Borough Road, Middlesbrough office. The role will be covering a varied caseload of company commercial matters, working alongside other Solicitors and Executives, as well as liaising closely with a Director.

The successful applicant will be expected to handle a broad spectrum of commercial work including leases, contracts, asset sales and purchases, joint ventures, shareholder agreements and partnerships. The applicant will also be expected to assist in the management of this growing department and supervise other Executives.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor.
• Have at least 2 years’ PQE.
• Previous experience in commercial matters.
• Demonstrate excellent client care.
• Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal matters into an understandable format.
• Confidence in speaking with clients face-to-face and on the phone.
• Excellent drafting skills (contracts and other legal matters).
• Ability to supervise, manage and support others within the team.
