Teesside University and over 3,000 of its graduates, recently celebrated their success at this year’s academic award ceremonies in Middlesbrough. One of those students graduated from LLB (Hons) Law with an additional prize, ensuring her law career was off to a flying start.

Anna Aldred, 21, won the Freers Askew Bunting Solicitors Award for Outstanding Achievement for her exceptional hard work and dedication to the course. As a result, Anna has also been offered work experience with the firm which we’re delighted about.

She said: “I feel very proud and very emotional and I am looking forward to the future.”

One of our Directors Rachel Dyson, was honoured to be a guest at the graduation ceremony, and was even more thrilled to present Anna with her Freers Askew Bunting Solicitors award.

“We have been working with Teesside University for a number of years, but this is the first time we have offered a graduate prize.

“At the firm, we have been really impressed with the calibre of students this year and extremely pleased that we’ve been able to award a very talented individual at the start of what I’m most certain will be a very successful career in law. We wish Anna all the best in her future endeavours and studies and will look forward to her starting her work experience with us very soon.”

To continue the strong link to Teesside University, Freers Askew Bunting Solicitors will be attending this year’s careers fair on November 2nd at the University and encourage any student wishing to pursue a career in law to attend.
