Jonathan Woodhouse has been named as the new president of the Tees Valley Law Society. The respected head of Freers Family Law Department was elected to the post at the organisation’s annual meeting.
The organisation represents more than 300 solicitors across the region in what are challenging times for the profession. The region has seen many firms close during a period that co-insides with legal aid reform and the widening of market competition under the provisions of the Legal Services Act.
Mr. Woodhouse said “I’m absolutely delighted to be given the role of President of the Tees Valley Law Society. I’m excited about the year ahead and helping to promote the work of solicitors on Teesside.”
