Today, let’s take the time to appreciate the wonderful women in our lives, as we all celebrate International Women’s Day! As a law firm that cares deeply for equality, we feel it is important to recognise the achievements of some of the fantastic women within our business, whose contributions have shaped our business to what it is today.
This year’s theme for IWD is Accelerate Action, emphasising the importance of taking the necessary steps to achieve gender equality worldwide. We’d like to take this time to talk on the major impact that women are having in law, both globally, and internally within our firm. We’re very proud to foster a diverse workforce, one with very talented women who bring high-level expertise to complex legal matters!
In celebration of International Women’s Day, we’ll be exploring the importance of women in law, and their significance in this field of work. Keep reading to find out more!
In history, law has been a male-dominated field, due to the lack of opportunities that were previously presented to women. With over 70 years of experience in the North East, our firm has witnessed a huge shift in the amount of women actively working in law, a tremendous achievement that has come to fruition more so over recent decades!
In this profession, women are now represented in all areas of law, taking on complex legal matters with determination. Our firm has been no stranger to this development, as of the present day, we have a strong female representation within our workforce, bringing a wealth of expertise to our business.
It’s important to remember that the recognition of equality is something that should be respected all year round. While International Women’s Day is a fantastic initiative, highlighting the importance of women’s rights, we believe that people should be mindful to accelerate action, and embrace equality each day.
When it comes to law, we are committed to representing women across a broad range of legal matters, supporting women equally to ensure a fair outcome for all parties. Whether it be women facing family law disputes, or childcare law disputes, or those accessing any other of our services, we’re committed to ensuring all clients are represented fairly, and equally.
We’re also running a social media campaign in light of International Women’s Day, highlighting some of the success stories of some of our female solicitors. Visit our Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or X to view our posts!
Attaining our reputation as a trusted law firm in the North East is highly influenced by the expertise of the excellent women within our business.
