The sun was certainly shining on what was our 6th annual Inkwell Golf Tournament at Middlesbrough Golf Club. Dressed in 2018 Inkwell Canterbury shirts, the players teed off in the glorious sunshine in the hopes of winning the coveted solid silver Inkwell trophy, created by Mappin & Webb Jewellers in Newcastle. Also up for grabs was the ‘Longest Drive’ and ‘Nearest the Pin’ trophies on the 13th – our sponsored hole.
Players were able to relax in the Clubhouse after completing their round, whilst the final scores were counted and the competition winners were revealed. This year’s tournament champion was Mr Keith Holder, who scored an impressive 42 points. Mr Peter Hodgson won the ‘Longest Drive’ award, with Mr Ron Walker talking home the ‘Nearest the Pin’ prize.
Our Director Richard Vaux, who is a key member of the Golf Club said “The Inkwell is always one of the highlights of the social calendar for our firm and we are thrilled everyone had a brilliant day.”
We’d like to thank all those who attended and to Middlesbrough Golf Club for being a fantastic host once again.
