Legal Secretary- Private Client

We are looking for an experienced legal secretary to join our Private Client Department, based at our Stokesley office.

Are you passionate about supporting clients through life’s most sensitive legal matters? We’re looking for a dedicated Legal Secretary to join our growing Private Client team, working primarily on probate and estate administration. This full-time role is based at our Stokesley office.

About the Role

As a Legal Secretary in our Private Client department, you’ll provide essential support to our fee earners, ensuring smooth file progression and delivering a professional, empathetic experience to our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

● Drafting and preparing legal correspondence to clients

● Arranging file openings for multiple fee earners

● Supporting fee earners in a fast-paced environment

● Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and care

Key Qualifications & Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

● Experienced – ideally with 2+ years in an administrative or secretarial role within alegal environment (Private Client or Wills & Probate experience is desirable)

● Proficient in Microsoft Office

● Comfortable using legal case management systems

● Highly organised with great attention to detail

● A strong communicator, both written and verbal

● Able to work independently and manage time effectively

● Compassionate, discreet and calm when dealing with sensitive matters
